2023 Fleet Skins Balnarring Pinot Gris
100% Pinot Gris from the Mornington Peninsula Balnarring vineyard. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the grapes were de-stemmed and fermented on skins for 21 days, imparting intense flavour and texture. After pressing, the wine aged in neutral oak puncheons with lees stirring to enhance mouthfeel. Bottled un-fined and un-filtered, with 100% malolactic fermentation. There are aromas of wild fennel, anise, and spiced pears. Its textured, fleshy core is complemented by tea-like phenolics, resulting in a wine that is delightfully assertive yet quenching, with a long, refreshing acidity.
