2023 Commune of Buttons Day For Night Rose

80% Syrah and 20% Chardonnay grown by Kas Sluiter in Mylor, Adelaide Hills. The fruit was picked over a month in small parcels and sent over to Commune of Buttons in the Basket Range for whole-bunch pressing. The last parcel which was foot trodden and macerated for 12 hours before pressing and fermenting on fine lees in stainless steel.

This is a savoury rose with generosity and fine tannins that sit on an acid spine. The nose is rose petals and red oranges. Wine to drink in the afternoon, cheese and crackers greatly encouraged.
