Vanguardist Botanic Oeno Syrah 2024

In their words -  Single Site: Rende Vineyard, Blewitt Springs

‘Oeno’ derives from the science dedicated to the study and knowledge of wines, Oenology. The vineyard boasts an altitude exceeding 200m above sea level. The top soil is pure sand, with clay and red ironstone pockets below the surface. The namesake ‘Oeno’ has been extended to this inaugural Syrah from the Rende Vineyard under the Botanic label.

Approx 40% final blend is whole cluster. Post press, elevage took place two 500L thick stave puncheons for 14 months prior to bottling.  The wine was bottled without fining or any further additions.

BOTANIC wines showcase the refinement and complexity of fruit and a clear expression of terroir.

Red berries, blue fruits, plum, Savoury/herbal, earthy.  Medium body with medium to long term ageing potenial.
