Rouleur 'Strawberry Fields' Pinot Meunier 2024

The name gives away the mood, and the wine happily follows through. Pinot Meunier from the cool, high vineyards of Whitlands is given a partial carbonic fermentation, drawing out juicy fruit, perfume and a silky texture rather than heavy tannin.

Strawberry and raspberry are joined by red cherry, rosehip and orange rind, with a small flicker of spice on the finish. Light-bodied and buoyant, it has the easy charm of a chilled red but enough savoury detail to be more than a passing novelty.
