Pooley Cooinda Vale Riesling 2023

Cooinda Vale is one of Pooley’s defining Coal River Valley sites, and Riesling is an especially clear lens through which to see it. Hand-picked fruit is cool-fermented in stainless steel, protecting the perfume and the vineyard’s naturally taut acidity.

Lime and lemon sherbet give an immediate burst of brightness, followed by green apple, citrus blossom and wet stone. The palate stays narrow and precise rather than austere, carrying its flavour in a long, fine line. A beautifully articulate Tasmanian Riesling with nothing extraneous.
