Linea Retta Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

Nebbiolo sourced from 30-year-old vines on calcareous marl soil at 280 meters in the Starderi vineyard in Neive, Langhe. Hand-picked and fermented in temperature-controlled vats for 11 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in used French oak barrels and 12 months of aging before release. Boasting persistent aromas of rose petals and berries, with a balanced palate of velvety tannins, freshness, and fantastic structure. Langhe Nebbiolo, akin to Barolo and Barbaresco, shares a full-bodied character and allows up to 15% of other indigenous grapes like Barbera and Dolcetto. Linea Retta is a collaboration between Giorgio Rivetti of Italy and the famed Larry Cherubino of Australia. Giorgio, a traditionalist who avoids herbicides and uses barriques to preserve vineyard quality, is celebrated for his mastery in Piedmont and Tuscany, while Larry, known for his innovative methods and sustainable farming in Western Australia, focuses on Italian varietals.
