Henschke Cyril Henschke Cabernet Blend 2010

An iconic blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot, named for the Henschke patriarch Cyril, who first planted Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1960's.

The 2010 vintage produced lower yields which resulted in more concentrated fruit. Complex, vibrant aromas of violet, plum and blackberry with dried rosemary, thyme and star anise spice with a hint of cedar to round the end. The palate is powerful yet delicately structured with layers of red and black fruits, guided by elegant acidity and tannins that lead to a long, beguiling finish. Matured in 45% new French hogsheads for 18 months prior to blending and bottling.
