Champagne Abele 1757 Brut NV

Abelé 1757 is a historic Champagne house with time very much on its side. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are blended before a second fermentation in bottle and extended ageing on lees, where the wine develops its fine bead and gently rounded texture.

Green apple, white peach and citrus keep the opening fresh, while brioche and almond supply the quieter, savoury detail underneath. A chalky note tightens the finish. Elegant rather than showy, it delivers the calm assurance you would hope for from a house with centuries of experience.
